Academics. Research and Development
Dr. Sharma has a numerous published works and research to her credit. Under her leadership, The Indic Center,
offers research and development expertise and services in mental and social health matters. Dr Sharma’s rich
experience includes:
Teaching at Delhi University – Daulat Ram College, & Lady Shriram College
Research work with the Center for the Study of Developing Societies, CSDS’
Research projects include one on the partition of India for which she was awarded the prestigious WISCOM
research fellowship for seminal in understanding of partition violence and religion and its interplay in the
society;
Doctoral research on understanding impact of science on the psychology of the people and society. For which
she was one of the very few civilians allowed to visit nuclear reactors in the country and interact with top
scientists and medical doctors of the day. She was awarded the RCSS fellowship for this study.
Dr. Sharma supervised 10 doctorates at Manav Rachna International University where she implemented
structured experiential learning pedagogy through role plays, drama, sports, outdoor camps, mandatory
community service, employability and life skills in the management, etc., utilising existing structures of civil
society like police so that students from rural and semi-urban backgrounds could learn necessary skills handson.
She has written several academic books and published several research papers in reputed journals.
